January 30 2010 Range extention Lithium IonWith the success of our 24-volt model, which has proved particularly popular with blue water yachtsmen and electric boat enthusiasts, we are in the final stages of developing a 12-volt version. It is the same height and width as the 24-volt model but with double the capacity. The new battery will have all of the attributes of the 24-volt model, such as integrated carrying handles, shielded connection posts and neat ducting along the top, which hides away the connecting cables. December 10 2009 MasterView Easy upgradedMasterView Easy is enhanced, the second generation of this multifunction display has higher resolution, improved responsiveness to its touch screen. Any MasterView easy can monitor and control any MasterBus product. Connected to a MasterShunt, it acts as a battery monitor. When connected to a generator and it becomes a dedicated generator panel. One of the additions in the new version is the favorite page. A favorite page can be configred to show the most relevant information in one overview or use it as a touch switch panel. June 29 2009 Raymarine extends its Automatic Identification System capabilitiesRaymarine’s addition to its AIS (Automatic Identification System) product range, a combined receiver and transmitter, is now available. The AIS500 allows users to both transmit to, and receive, AIS data to and from vessels in the area, as well as to shore-based traffic centres. The AIS500’s features include a dedicated GPS sensor to ensure highly accurate position data is broadcast. The AIS500 is designed to network with Raymarine’s multifunction systems using Raymarine’s new SeaTalk ng technology. It has dual channel (multiplex) monitoring ability, enabling it to pick up both Class A and Class B transmissions over standard VHF frequencies. Operating with Raymarine’s A Series, C Series, E Series and G series – as well as being compatible with other manufacturers’ equipment through its NMEA 0183 interface – the AIS500 enables users to see the movements, size, vessel ID details and even the cargo carried onboard. This data is displayed as an overlay on a chartplotter or radar screen. Read more
